Pier 39 Reveal

It's reveal time over at Cocoa Daisy, so I'm excited to show you a few of the layouts I've made with the kit, Pier 39, available tomorrow, March 1st!

Here's the kit in its entirety:

I got the Boardwalk add-on:

And some awesome stamps:
And these awesome stamps:

And mists:

Last but not least, the layouts!

This one's pink and oh-so-flowery, but I love it. I like the look of the distressed Bullseye Stamp in Walnut Stain brown, and that pink chevron has my heart.

Some hexagon and stripe love:

And lots of bits and pieces on this one:

I love, love, love the diagonal line arrow stamp. It's great to see my designs in use! I also wanted some more contrast on this layout, so I decided to color over my Thickers in black Sharpie marker.

You can get your hands on some of this tomorrow, March 1st!

Now I'm off to bake a cake and enjoy some couch time. Happy Wednesday!

Pier 39 Sneaks!

For once I am early on getting some sneaks out there! I had so much fun playing with this Cocoa Daisy kit and I dare say that I am not done with it. I may crank out a few more projects this weekend.

There are so many good bits and pieces in this kit, I ended up doing a lot of layering. The stamps are out of this world (and to answer a few comments, YES you can buy them separately!), and the color scheme, though very pink, yellow and overall beachy (which is not my typical style), worked out perfectly.

Hope this whets your appetite a bit for Pier 39, reveal happens on February 28th over at Cocoa Daisy, so pop in and check it out. Happy weekend!

Cocoa Daisy Sneaks!

Let me be honest: I am really excited about Cocoa Daisy's March kit. I love the bright colors, the patterns, the add ons... it just says "spring" to me, and I can't wait to dig in. The other thing I'm really excited about are the stamps!

Christine has been kind enough to let me take part in the stamps we design every month. The triple arrow below and the double arrow in the main kit are the first two, and we're already collaborating on the ones for the upcoming months.

I also love the background stamp for this month and the grungy circle–I know I'll find tons of uses for them. So, if you have an idea for a stamp, you should leave a comment–who knows, I might just mention it and it might end up in a future kit.

Did everyone have a good Valentine's Day? Ours was low-key as always, and consisted of dinner at home (steak and roasted veggies), chocolates from the Hot Chocolatier, which is right down the street from our house, a Dairy Queen Blizzard, and watching "Never Say Never," which I've been wanting to see for a while. It was great to stay at home and cook and just hang out, with no expectations, no reservations and just time together.

I hope your Wednesday is going smoothly–it's back to work for me.

Seen Today

Photos like this move me. And remind me why it's so important to slow down and document life, no matter how small and insignificant the details may seem.

I'm pretty sure no one reads this anymore

Since I've been such a really, horribly bad blogger.

But here I am, and I have a few of my latest layouts for Cocoa Daisy's newest kit, By the Numbers.

A layout about my fantastic city,

My sweet kitties,

And a card!

I also made this layout for our current challenge, over on the blog. I'll apologize for the bad lighting---one day we'll see some sun around these parts.

I had so much fun with this month's kit, I wish I had a little more free time to crank out a few more layouts.

Well, it's Friday night and I have a date with the kitties, my couch and Netflix, so I'm going to scoot. If you happen to read this, would you mind leaving a comment so I can see if anyone's still out there?? ;)

Cocoa Daisy: Revealed

It's time for a new year! This New Year's just happened to come around the time of the Cocoa Daisy reveal! I really enjoyed the kit this month. It included lots of great papers (namely BasicGrey), and lots of bright colors! Not to mention that now, CD is offering stamp subscriptions, and embellishment add-ons now. Great ideas, in my humble opinion.

Now onto the layouts!

And a card, because everyone enjoys getting something pretty in the mail.

To all of you who check this out, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you are blessed beyond measure.

This Christmas

I didn't send a single Christmas card.

I didn't do a December Daily.

I watched a lot of TV.

I slept in a lot.

I said "no" to a lot of things.

I said "yes" to a lot of things.

And I didn't feel guilty about any of that. Not at all.

I also got a little crafting time in. Here's a few sneaks of my Cocoa Daisy layouts:

I really am hoping to blog more in the new year. You know, with resolutions and all.

Hope your season has been merry and bright. Here's to a new year!

Somewhat Busy

Working some late nights, neglecting my house and barely having time to shower is what's going on in my life right now.

Fortunately, I got some scrapping in over the Thanksgiving holiday.....here are my Cocoa Daisy layouts for the month:

Sorry to pop in and pop out, but it's bed time in these here parts, and I have one more busy day until my much-needed long weekend!
