My Life in Instagram (and a Giveaway!)

So. Obsessed. with Instagram right now. I've had my iPhone for a mere week and it's amazing how much my life has changed since.

I really wanted an iPhone to consolidate my phone, my iPod and my camera. Don't get me wrong, I will never give up my DSLR, but it's nice to have a teeny camera that I can stick in my pocket that not only gives me options for quick editing, but can also send photos to my personal email for fast downloading and use.

Here's a little peek into my life, via Instagram:

In honor of the post over at Ormolu, Kaitlin has been kind enough to give me a set of Fact or Fiction Flair to give away to one lucky reader! Just leave a comment with your favorite holiday tradition (Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, whatever!) and an EMAIL ADDRESS (so I can get in touch with you) and I'll pick a winner next Wednesday!

My favorite Christmas tradition is St. Nicholas. On the night of Dec. 5, we hang up stockings and in the morning, there is fun stuff in them for the kids. (the original tradition was putting out the wooden shoes to fill, but we have none here) An orange, some candy, little trinkets, maybe socks. Somehow, the kids have no expectations and it is just fun.

My favorite tradition is helping my mom make the cornucopia for Thanksgiving dinner. It's great bonding time, and it's been a yearly event since I was a little girl.

I love Christmas morning breakfast! It was a tradition that I had with my family growing up and now one I share with my husband!

Although it sounds chaotic (and it is), my favorite tradition is visiting 4-5 different Thanksgiving celebrations throughout the day. Having divorced parents, with all family local, means I get to see different families on Thanksgiving. Its nice to just spend a bit of time with each one (not too much!) ;) and is a reminder of how grateful I am for my families.

I'm a fan of Christmas, but an even bigger fan of Christmas Eve! I love that anticipation that builds all day, the delicious food and treats and then having a quiet night sitting around as a family reading the Christmas story. It's the best!

Every year on Christmas Eve, my husband's family gets together and has a dollar gift exchange in which we fight over which wrapped dollar gift we will get to keep. It's always funny to see what the most coveted gifts end up being (often just a slinky!).

Love seeing your pics pop up in Instagram! My fav tradition has to be when my mom bakes me pumpkin pie instead of a birthday cake in October. I won't eat any other pumpkin pie, it's the best!!

Thanksgiving is so stress free for me! My mom cooks her fabulous meal and my immediate family come and we eat and have a great time! It is stressful for my mom, but we all know she loves it! I do help her cook just so it doesn't sound like we don't do anything :) hee hee!!

Love your design room. My favorite Christmas Tradition is our Book advent countdown calendar. I wrap 25 Christmas themed books and place under the tree every night my son picks one out, unwraps it and that is our bedtime story for the evening.

I love many of the wonderous traditions of Christmas such as putting up the Christmas tree on December 1st, watching my kids opening the advent calander every day, carols on Christmas Eve and the big family lunch on the day.

i would have to say my favorite tradition is the entire countdown of the whole month, from watching all the holiday shows, to planning times to pick a tree, decorate, go see lights, get pictures with santa-- counting down && then doing pages in hindsight is just my favorite :]

My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve. Before opening gifts, we all gather around the tree and my mom reads the Christmas story from the Bible. We did this as kids and now our kids are the ones gathered around her as she reads. It's something that we've done as long as I can remember!

Thanks for the chance to win!
